Dev Adhikari, Paran Bandopadhyay-starrer Tonic to be premiered digitally on Zee5 on 18 February

Avijit Sen’s film Tonic will have its digital premiere on Zee5 on 18 February.

Starring Dev Adhikari and Paran Bandopadhyay, the light-hearted comedy saw a massive turnout in theatres. The film also features Shakuntala Barua, Sujan Mukhopadhyay and Koneenica Banerjee.

Tonic recently bagged the Most Popular Film award at the West Bengal Film Journalists’ Association Awards. Bandopadhyay, who aced the role of septuagenarian Jaladhar Sen won the award for Best Male Actor while Adhikari won the award for the Most Popular Actor of 2021 for his portrayal of the titular character.

In the film, Jaladhar Sen lives a restrained life as his son (Mukhopadhyay) wants to keep him in check. However, going against his diktats, Jaladhar plans a grand anniversary celebration with his wife and travel agent Tonic comes to his aid. Tonic not only makes the event a memorable one but also helps him relive his youth.
