After getting a glimpse of their characters in the teaser a few days ago, the Pondicherry (2022) trailer shows us what Sai Tamhankar, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi and Amruta Khanvilkar are up to in the film.

Tamhankar’s character, along with her young son, has relocated to the Paris of the East in a charming home-stay hotel, where she works. She also moonlights as a tourist guide. The characters of Tatwawaadi and Khanvilkar take up residence in the hotel.

Tatwawaadi’s character comes with the intention of buying the place and turning it into a boutique hotel, something Tamhankar’s character is opposed to. All the characters, including those played by Mahesh Manjrekar, Neena Kulkarni and Tanmay Kulkarni, criss-cross at the hotel and seem to ripple through one another.

The Sachin Kundalkar film, written by Tejas Modak and the filmmaker, also seems to indicate that the cast will undergo some sort of journey of self-discovery. Shot by cinematographer Milind Jog on a smartphone, the Marathi film features music by Debarpito Saha.

Pondicherry, presented by Akshay Bardapurkar and Planet Marathi, in association with Creative Viibe, is due to be released on 25 February. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to see the film.
