Along with positive word-of-mouth publicity, the film has also benefitted from Valentine's Day. Badhaai Do had earned Rs 7.35 in its first weekend, and its total five-day collection is Rs10.20 crore nett. While its box office numbers are not terrible, they are underwhelming, considering the lack of competition and all the buzz the film has received after its release.

Going by the present trend, the film might earn around Rs13 crore nett by the end of its first week. As per Cinestaan's trade sources, the film was made on a budget of around Rs25 to 30 crore, which means it has a long way to go to break even.

Directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, Badhaai Do has been produced by Junglee Pictures.
