Jhatka trailer: A murder mystery seemingly plagued by amateurish acting

Starring Gaurav Upasani and Purniemaa Dey, the dark comedy is slated to be released on 4 March.

A couple, who has just moved into the new flat, gets entangled in the murder case after they discover a corpse in the house in first-time filmmaker Ajinkya Upasani's upcoming Marathi dark comedy Jhatka: Atta Survat Gondhalachi. The couple is played by Gaurav Upasani and Purniemaa Dey.

The teaser, which was released a week ago, hints at the film's lighter tone without revealing anything. The trailer builds on the teaser and gives some idea about the actual plot.

The detective who is assigned the investigation turns out to be the wife's ex. Things slowly start to get out of hand and soon the husband and wife start to accuse each other.

Whose corpse is this? Are they hiding something from each other? The trailer piques your curiosity. But at the same time, it also exposes some of the shortcomings. The acting looks fairly amateurish and so is the dialogue delivery.

Jhatka sees Ajinkya Upasani don the hats of screenplay writer, dialogue writer, director, cinematographer and editor.

Produced by Dr Parthsarthi and Prerana Upasani, under the banner Uttejanaa Studioz, Jhatka is slated to be released on 4 March.
