Saksham Kulkarni, who has appeared in films such as De Dhakka (2008) and Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho (2010), will star in the upcoming Marathi film Second Hand.
The makers announced the film via a title poster which shows two hands forming a heart shape, hinting that it might be a love story.
Although Kulkarni has been a part of a few films before, all of them have had ensemble casts.
The film will be helmed by newcomer Sachin Dubale Patil, who has worked as an executive producer on half a dozen Marathi films. Patil has also co-written the film along with Bhalchandra Gaikwad and Amit Bendre.
Speaking about his decision to take up direction, Patil said in a statement, "After entering the film industry, I got to work with different directors. While watching them work, I thought about becoming one myself."
Second Hand will be produced under the banner of Brother's Entertainment. The makers haven't announced the rest of the cast yet.
