Akshay Kumar's grim visage takes a dominating position on the new poster for Farhad Samji's Bachchhan Paandey. The film will be released in theatres on 18 March 2022.
Also featuring Kriti Sanon, Arshad Warsi, Pankaj Tripathi and Prateik Babbar in key roles, Bachchhan Paandey has been produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment in association with AA Films.
The new poster captures the same element of wild ferocity that has marked the film's previous posters. Akshay Kumar's face looms large, with the glass eye capturing the viewer's attention. The marked change is in the title itself, which was earlier spelt 'Bachchan Pandey'. The spelling has been modified to 'Bachchhan Paandey'.

The makers wrote, 'He's evil, he's badass... Gear up to face the fear with Bachchhan Paandey. Kyunki bhai nahi, godfather hain yeh.'
In an interview with the entertainment weekly Variety earlier this year, Akshay Kumar had described his character as a hinterland gangster inspired to fight for justice. The poster's mention of 'godfather' seems to indicate the same.
The production company's post also promised that the trailer for the film will be released on 18 February. First announced in 2019, the shooting for Bachchhan Paandey was completed only last year after several delays during the pandemic.
Not surprisingly, the release date for the film has also undergone several changes. Originally scheduled to be released at Christmas 2020, it was most recently slated for a Republic Day 2022 release before being shifted to its current date of 18 March 2022.
