Filmmaker Aneek Chaudhuri has finished shooting The Tale Of A Santa And His Moth with actor Pawan Chopra, who is known for his appearances in Dil Dhadakne Do (2015)Asur (2020) and Shershaah (2021).

Based on the relationship between a widower, who was found out to be a homosexual by his deceased wife, and his ill daughter, his film stars Chopra as the father and Usha Banerjee as the young woman.

Banerjee has starred in Chaudhuri’s feature film Jharokh (2021), which will be premiered on Amazon Prime Video soon.

Chaudhuri said, “The film came to me a few months ago during a casual discussion with Pawanji and we knew it would work. The Tale Of A Santa And His Moth is something that does not directly fall into the genre of films that I have made in the recent past. However, I wanted to mould myself and this is what I have got for my audiences.”

The filmmaker added, “Pawanji has not done anything like this before where he presents fluid sexuality. He has done a warm job here.”

According to him, Banerjee has portrayed a character that is phenomenal and mature. “Usha performed very well considering that we had been rehearsing and discussing this for the past three months. Things shaped up well. She has played a character that holds well in the current scope of cinema," said the director.

The Tale Of A Santa And His Moth has been entirely shot in Kolkata.
