Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday talk about bonding on the sets of Gehraiyaan; See video

Filmmaker Shakun Batra’s Gehraiyaan (2022), starring Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa, was premiered to great interest on 11 February on Amazon Prime Video.

The drama looks at modern-day relationships with a complex lens. What’s right and what’s wrong is not always shown as easy.

While the film deals with heavy emotions and takes some surprising turns, the team behind the feature tried their best to unwind between takes. In an exclusive behind-the-scenes video shared by IMDb, the cast and crew of the Amazon Prime Video film let off steam in between filming the drama.

The two actresses also spoke of forming deep connections with each other over time while working on the project.

Padukone said, “It was a kind of film where relationships already needed to be formed and not be discovered on set... This is something that I just put in Shakun’s ear, while we were in lockdown, and I said whenever we start filming, we should go earlier and spend some time together. So, I think all of that really added to, you know, to all of our relationships in the movie.”

Her co-star Panday added, “That kind of like helped us bond because we never chilled before this film, all of us together. I had a lot of fun working with Sid. We get along really well, we have a very chilled out vibe, we are friends in real life so that helped.”
