The Fame Game trailer: Disappearance of superstar, played by Madhuri Dixit Nene, exposes dark secrets

The show, which marks the veteran actress's digital debut, will be streamed on Netflix from 25 February.

 

Madhuri Dixit Nene plays a mysterious superstar, Anamika Anand, in Netflix's upcoming web-series The Fame Game.

The trailer of the show, which dropped today, hints that the series will take us into the dark world of the glamour industry and the highs and lows that come with stardom.

The trailer begins by introducing us to the superstar Anamika's perfect life. She is a popular actress, a doting mother and a loving wife. But her sudden disappearance slowly brings to light many skeletons in her cupboard, exposing the complicated personal life that she has been hiding behind the facade of a superstar. 

As the manhunt begins, the actress's troubled marriage with Sanjay Kapoor's character, terrible relationship with her children and illicit affair with a colleague (Manav Kaul) are revealed.

The trailer hints that the series will be filled with shocking twists and turns as each family member and friend reveals some hidden secret about  Anamika. 

The Fame Game has been directed by Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli. The series has been produced by Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment, which is the digital wing of Dharma Productions. 

The Fame Game will be streamed on Netflix from 25 February.
