Prasad Oak's upcoming anticipated Marathi movie Chandramukhi will be out in theatres on 29 April 2022.
The makers announced the release date along with a new teaser, which gives you an idea about the film's theme.
The teaser sees a young female dancer in traditional attire move to the beat of a dholki. We are not shown her face as she slowly walks towards the camera. The teaser also shows an ambitious young politician whose face is also hidden. There is also a voice-over by Prasad Oak where he hints that it's a love story between these two characters.
Chandramukhi, which is based on the famous book of the same name by Vishwas Patil, was scheduled to be released on 5 November 2021 but the makers decided to postpone the release without elaborating.
The film has been produced by Akshay Bardapurkar's Planet Marathi and Piyush Singh's Golden Ratio Films. The makers have kept the names of the cast under wraps.
Speaking about working with Oak, Bardapurkar said in a statement, "Working with Prasad Oak was a great opportunity for us and getting a team of talent who come with their own experiences is what we have always believed in. Earlier he explored his calibre in working with different storylines and this clarifies how thoughtful his mind can be (sic).”
Chandramukhi's dialogues and screenplay have been written by Chinmay Mandlekar and the music has been composed by Ajay-Atul.
Speaking about the film and the team, producer Piyush Singh said in a statement, "We are proud of the team behind the making of the film, the director, the cast and the whole crew who have worked tremendously hard in making this feature film. Ajay-Atul’s music is the cherry on the top, already proving how magical they are in their own way. No doubt, they have added extra charm to the film with their creation.”
