DIFF to showcase six films to highlight diversity in Buddhist cinema


The selection will be made available free of cost as part of the festival's year-round programme.

The Dharamshala International Film Festival (DIFF) Virtual Viewing Room programme will showcase six films on the theme ‘Mirrors and Projections: Diversity in Buddhist Cinema’. 

Organized in partnership with the International Buddhist Film Festival, the selection includes documentary and drama films from six countries that will be available for free for viewers in Asia from 4 to 13 February.

The selection of films includes Walk With Me by Marc J. Francis and Max Pugh, Mindfulness and Murder by Tom Waller, Buster Williams: Bass to Infinity, by Adam Kahan, Return to Gandhi Road, by Yeshe Hegan, Painting Peace by Babeth Mondini-VanLoo and Music Monks by Qiaoli Wang.

DIFF was started in 2012 by Ritu Sarin and Tenzing Sonam. The festival has been held online since 2020, owing to the COVID pandemic.
