Cadaver is the most interesting character I have played so far, says Amala Paul

Amala Paul, recently seen in the Tamil anthology Victim - Who Is Next? (2022), is back on OTT with the upcoming Disney+ Hotstar investigative thriller Cadaver (2022) where she plays a police surgeon.

The actress, who has worked in the Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu industries, also turns producer with this latest project. The Hindi trailer of Cadaver was released by Boman Irani, while the Tamil version was put out by veteran actor Mohanlal, and singer-composer Anirudh.

Speaking about her role in the digital project, the actress shared, “Cadaver is the most interesting character I have played so far. The voice of the story is intense and it demands a more consistent and serious approach to the role. I was so surprised by the trailer; you never really get to understand the work you have put in unless you see it out there.”

“The reaction to the trailer was really unexpected,” she added. “It received so much love from our fans. The comments coming from all the fans on the movie were really fulfilling. Their appreciation really pushes me to do better and work on better and diverse characters.”

Directed by Anoop S Panicker, Cadaver also stars Harish Uthaman, Munishkanth, and Athulya Ravi. The thriller is due to be premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on 12 August.
