Roop Nagar Ke Cheetey actor Karan Parab once played cricket for team UAE

More than a decade ago, Karan Parab used to don the grey jersey of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) cricket team while representing the country in under-19 tournaments. It so happens that now he is all set to make his acting debut in the Marathi movie Roop Nagar Ke Cheetey (2022). 

After migrating to the UAE, Parab returned to his hometown Pune in Maharashtra in 2007 to complete his higher studies from the College of Engineering. Although he was studying to become an engineer, he was bitten by the acting bug. 

Hence, he started doing theatre and continued acting in plays. He got accolades for his plays Being Selfish and Experiment. Parab also started appearing in print and television advertisements and music albums. He then landed the role of one of the lead actors in Roop Nagar Ke Cheetey. 

The film sees Parab paired with co-star Kunal Shukla. The movie is about two friends and what all they go through in life and how their friendship gets affected due to it. As per the makers, the two young actors became thick friends while shooting for the film. 

Directed by Vihan Suryavanshi and produced by Mannan Shaah, Roop Nagar Ke Cheetey is due to be released in theatres on 16 September.
