The song ‘Shabaash’ from Jitendra Kumar’s Netflix movie Jaadugar (2022) was played recently at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England to boost the morale of players representing the Indian contingent.

The actor is obviously overjoyed at the scenes. “I am beyond ecstatic,” he said in a statement. “It is indeed a big thing for any actor. Never did we imagine that our song would attain this milestone.”

Sharing info about the track ‘Shabaash,’ the actor added, “The song has been beautifully helmed by Vivek Hariharan and Niloptal Bora. In the movie, the song is played to cheer us up, restore our spirits, and emancipate us from the pressures of winning and just enjoying the game and giving our best. Our athletes are already making us proud at one of the biggest sporting events in the world and being a part of their journey even in a compact manner swells my heart with pride.”

Directed by Sameer Saxena, Jaadugar features Jitendra in the role of a magician who takes up football to impress the woman he loves. The show also stars Arushi Sharma and Jaaved Jaaferi and it was released on the over-the-top (OTT) platform on 15 July.

Jitendra is known the most for his portrayal of Abhishek Tripathi aka Sachivji in the Amazon Prime Video web-series Panchayat
