Shah Rukh Khan’s absence from the big screen since the last four years, after the release of Zero (2018) has been talked a lot. But his co-star from the 2018 movie, Anushka Sharma too hasn’t been seen in a project after that.
The actress next stars in the ambitious project Chakda ‘Xpress (2023), which is the biopic on team India’s fast bowler Jhulan Goswami. Directed by Prosit Roy, the film is currently in the making. Netflix, the platform where the film will be released, has shared some behind the scene visuals of the actress preparing and shooting for the film.
The visuals show Sharma going through an extensive process to become the famous cricketer. The actress is also seen indoors where she is playing Jhulan Goswami, the person.
There is a vast difference in the face and appearance of Sharma and Goswami. But, after going through the video, it is clear that the concerned departments have made Sharma look like the Indian cricketer as much as possible. Sharma’s last shot in the video, especially, reminds us of Goswami.
Speaking about the process, Prosit Roy said in the video, “Chakda ‘Xpress is Jhulan Goswami. It is about Jhulan Goswami’s journey from small town Chakda, all the way to the World Cup finals. We are trying to capture the raw energy of Jhulan and we are trying to be as honest as possible with the story.”
Roy had also directed the film Pari (2018) and the web-series Paatal Lok (2020); both of which were produced by Sharma.
