Jind Mahi title song: Love, heartbreak and an effervescent Sonam Bajwa

The title track of the Punjabi feature Jind Mahi (2022) has been composed and sung by Oye Kunaal and written by Raahi. The romantic drama stars Bajwa, Gurnam Bhullar and Ajay Sarkaria in lead roles.

The song begins with Lado (Sonam Bajwa) saying that the person who once comes under her spell, tries to find different excuses to meet her. This seems to be true of Ajay Sarkaria, who is clearly smitten by her. She tells him that he too, will try to find her but he won’t be successful.

Sarkaria’s character and Lado seem to have a fight and the two part ways but he recalls the time spent with her. This clearly, is one heartbreak in the film. On the other hand, we see a young girl pining for Sarkaria but he only has his heart set on Lado. 

The lovebirds are seen dancing and spending a merry time together. There are glimpses of Gurnam Bhullar and Lado dancing at what seems like a celebration event. Another shot is of a lovelorn Bhullar standing by as Lado is going away from him. 

With sweeping shots of London, England, the title track features beautiful locales and scenery. Oye Kunaal’s voice captures the ache of heartbreak and the pain of letting the beloved go. 

The film is directed by Sameer Pannu and the cinematography is by Sana Ravi Kumar.
