Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach teaser – Pankaj Tripathi’s Madhav Mishra returns for a new outing

Disney+ Hotstar’s series, Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach (2022) returns for a third season as Pankaj Tripathi’s Madhav Mishra is back to take on yet another challenging case.

Produced by Applause Entertainment, in association with BBC Studios India, Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach is directed by Rohan Sippy. Tripathi’s fan favourite advocate returns to go up against a young assistant public prosecutor, Lekha, played by Shweta Basu Prasad in his latest court case.

The teaser shows Mishra getting ready to prepare himself for the case as he states, ‘Jeet aapki ya meri nahi, nyay ki honi chahiye [It shouldn’t be you or I winning, justice should win]’. However, the teaser keeps us guessing as to the nature of the case Mishra is defending.  

In the first season of Criminal Justice (2019), Mishra defended a cab driver Aditya (Vikrant Massey) accused of murdering a young woman. The second season, Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors (2020), featured Mishra taking on the case of Anuradha Chandra (Kirti Kulhari) who fatally stabbed her husband.

Tripathi shared, “As an actor, I have always wanted to be part of different kinds of stories. With the character of Madhav Mishra, I have been fortunate enough to explore them in Hotstar Specials’ Criminal Justice series across seasons. In the new season, he sets out on a new adventure where he questions the limits of our laws. There is much more to look out for in this season, with Madhav Mishra taking a deep dive into the legal battles of his clients.”

Director Rohan Sippy added, “In the new season of Criminal Justice, Madhav Mishra questions the judiciary and its limits by revealing a never-before-seen side to our legal systems. The new season captures his fight insightfully and sensitively in their rawest form. I am happy to collaborate with Disney+ Hotstar again for a prestigious series like this.”
