Ultra Media and Entertainment has been quenching the thirst of the Indian audiences since four decades now. After starting off with video cassettes, it later ventured into the VCD and DVD zone, like every other firm dealing with home theatre entertainment.
As a natural progression, Ultra is now all set to start its own over-the-top (OTT) platform specializing in Marathi content. It will showcase movies, web-series, plays and songs from various genres in the language.
Sushilkumar Agrawal, managing director and chief executive officer (CEO), Ultra Media and Entertainment, said in a statement, “Maharashtra has a long legacy of cultural heritage and that’s the reason I am proud of the Marathi language. It is our aim to spread this culture through movies, web-series, plays and songs to the audience around the world.”
He added, “There has been a use of new-age technology in the field of entertainment. Ultra has always adopted new technology with the changing times. Starting an OTT platform is a part of this. Through this medium, we will be providing our precious audience with some world class options and hence, there will be a single destination for all their entertainment needs.”
