Sameer Patil’s next is a multi-starrer comedy, BhauBali

Filmmaker Sameer Patil is known for making crowd-pleasing entertainers. His most notable films include Poshter Boyz (2014) and Shentimental (2017). His next BhauBali (2022) is a multi-starrer comedy in the same mainstream space as his earlier films.  

Produced by Nitin Vaidya, Ninad Vaidya, Aparna Padgaonkar and Zee Studios, the film has a large ensemble cast of Manoj Joshi, Kishor Kadam, Medha Manjrekar, Rasika Agashe, Reshan Tipnis, Hrishikesh Joshi, Abhay Kulkarni, Purnima Talwalkar, Priyadarshini Indalkar, Manasi Kulkarni, Rajan Bhise, Ajit Bhure among others. 

The first poster of the movie indicates the madcap nature of the comedy as it included around ten actors on it. It depicts a roadside scene where some characters are struggling while traveling in a car while Kadam is seen joyful on a cycle.Once the teaser or the trailer comes out, the story of the film will be clearer. 

BhauBali is based on the works of the late author, screenwriter, playwright and theatre critic Jayant Pawar. Earlier this year, Mahesh Manjrekar’s Nay Varan Bhat Loncha Kon Nay Koncha (2022) was based on his book Varanbhatloncha Ni Kon Nay Koncha. 

Bhaubali is due to be released in theatres on 16 September.
