Bachchan is currently shooting the 14th season of his popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. The shoot of the upcoming episodes is likely to be affected by the news.
As per the daily newspaper The Times Of India, the city of Mumbai recorded 832 new COVID-19 cases yesterday (23 August) as against 600 the previous day.
This is the second time that Bachchan has tested positive for coronavirus. In July 2020, he, along with son Abhishek, daughter-in-law Aishwarya and granddaughter Aaradhya, had tested positive. All four of them were admitted in Mumbai’s Navavati Hospital from where they were discharged later.
As far as films are concerned, Bachchan will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s much-delayed sci-fi film Brahmastra Part One: Shiva (2022), which is due to be released on 9 September. The movie also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy.
