Cuttputlli trailer: Akshay Kumar is on the hunt for a serial killer

Akshay Kumar’s fourth film of the year is an investigative thriller, Cuttputlli (2022). Set in the picturesque hill town of Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh, the film features the actor on the trail of a serial killer who seems to be taunting the police.

The killer’s modus operandi is targeting innocent victims, even schoolgirls, who then are murdered and displayed in public spaces. The trailer indicates that two murders have already been committed and before the killer can get to the third victim, Akshay and his team have to stop him or her.

Akshay's character insists that they should not try to wield power over the serial killer, but instead play a mind game. With two days in hand, the team tries to shut down the city and nab the culprit.

Akshay and director Ranjit M Tewari reunite once again after Bell Bottom (2021).

The film also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Sargun Mehta and Chandrachur Singh. Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Cuttputlli has been written by Aseem Arrora.
