Veteran actor Anupam Kher has been included in the cast of Ravi Teja’s keenly awaited Telugu movie Tiger Nageswara Rao. Directed by Vamsee, the film is based on the life of the notorious thief of the same name. The story is set in the 1970s in the village of Stuartpuram.
As per the makers, Kher’s character is crucial to the film. They have also shared a character poster of the film featuring the actor. He is seen sitting on the main chair in a boardroom, waiting for people to arrive.
The poster shows only the side profile of Kher. But the wig worn him is enough to know that his look in the film is similar to the one he donned in Neeraj Pandey’s Baby (2015), which starred Akshay Kumar.
Tiger Nageswara Rao has been produced by Abhishek Agarwal. He was also one of the producers of this year’s hit Hindi movie The Kashmir Files. Directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the film also starred Kher as a Kashmiri Pandit.
A statement from the makers of the upcoming film read, “Since it’s the most ambitious project of producer Abhishek Agarwal of Abhishek Agarwal Arts, he is making the movie on [an] uncompromised budget.”
Tiger Nageswara Rao will also be made in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
