Jind Mahi song ‘Wafa’: Emotional portrayal of broken hearts and jilted lovers

The Sonam Bajwa and Gurnam Bhullar-starrer Jind Mahi will be released on 5 August. Directed by Sameer Pannu with a story by Manmord Singh Sidhu, the Punjabi feature stars Ajay Sarkaria in what seems like a love triangle.

The latest song to be released from the film ‘Wafa’ sung by Ninja has lyrics by Raahi and the music is by Oye Kunaal.

The video features what seems like a crucial moment in the film where Harry (Ajay Sarkaria) is seen running to the train station to get to Lado (Sonam Bajwa). But Gurnam Bhullar meets her there and the two hug each other, leading Harry to believe that Lado’s affections are for Bhullar's character. The sad song is a moment of realization for Harry.

We see glimpses of Bhullar’s character and Lado having a fun time, while Harry is the jilted lover, trying to swallow his feelings. He fondly recalls the time spent with Lado. The young woman is told off by a friend of Harry’s who tells her how she has manipulated Harry’s feelings for her. Meanwhile, Harry is seen getting engaged to another girl.

The sad, emotional song depicts a trail of broken hearts, where lovers seem to have a cross-connection with each other.
