Couldn’t act in Criminal Justice season two because of date issues, says Purab Kohli

Purab Kohli plays one of the pivotal characters in Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach (2022), the third season in the Disney+ Hotstar franchise. Not many are aware that the actor was also approached for the second season of the show but he couldn’t find the time to commit to it. 

Kohli said in a statement, “This is actually the second time I got approached for Criminal Justice. They wanted me in the second season too but I couldn’t be a part as I was filming for a different project and there were date clashes. But I am so glad that I got a second chance in Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach. Extremely happy to be a part of season three.” 

The actor revealed that director Rohan Sippy was a major factor why he did the show. “Rohan and [I] wanted to work for a very long time. A major reason behind accepting this role was him,” said Kohli. 

The third season of Criminal Justice will see the return of the character of the advocate Madhav Mishra, played by Pankaj Tripathi. This time he has to defend the murder of a child artiste in which her own brother is the prime suspect. 

Also starring Shweta Basu Prasad, Swastika Mukherjee, Aditya Gupta, Deshna Dugad, Gaurav Gera, Kalyanee Mulay and Khushboo Atre, Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach is due to be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar from 26 August.
