Prasun Chatterjee’s Dostojee (2022), a social drama that tells the tale of friendship between two boys from different religious communities, is due to be released theatrically on 11 November.
Satadeep Saha from SSR Cinemas announced that they will be distributing the film for theatrical release. The director, Prasun Chatterjee, shared the news on Twitter.

The incidents of the film unfold in the year 1993 when the Babri mosque in Uttar Pradesh has been destroyed by a violent Hindu mob. However, the repercussions of the event are felt in a remote village in West Bengal, where two boys feel the aftershock of the incident, which leaves an indelible imprint on Indian society.
The Bengali film had its world premiere at the 65th BFI London Film Festival last September and has been widely screened at international film festivals across the world including the International Film Festival of Kerala, Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival to name a few, and has won numerous awards.
