Madhav Mishra is a regular man from Mumbai’s local train, says Pankaj Tripathi

Pankaj Tripathi will be back with his character Madhav Mishra in Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach (2022), the third season of the Disney+ Hotstar series. The show is produced by Applause Entertainment, in association with BBC Studios, and directed by Rohan Sippy. 

Tripathi will continue his character of a lawyer struggling to find an interesting case. And like the first two seasons, when he finds one, he comes to the conclusion that it is by no way straightforward and will require him to go the extra mile in order to achieve results and find the truth. 

Pripathi says that Madhav Mishra has been able to connect with the people because he is just a face in the crowd. “Madhav Mishra is an aam admi [common man], so there is a high reliability to his character,” Tripathi said in a statement. “His behaviour, mannerisms, sense of timing and body language all make him easy to understand and relate. He is just a regular man whom you might find in a Mumbai local. This is why viewers connect with him so much.” 

The new season of Criminal Justice will tackle an unusual case of the murder of a young girl, who was also a child artiste. Her own brother is the prime suspect in the case. 

Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach is due to be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar on 26 August.
