The song ‘Taadiyan’ from the upcoming feature Laung Laachi 2 (2022), starring Amberdeep Singh, Neeru Bajwa and Ammy Virk, is both festival and joyful.

Sung by Amar Noori and Jaswinder Brar, the lyrics are by Ranjit Singh Sidhu, with composition by Jaswinder Brar and music by Gurmeet Singh. Choreographed by Arvind Thakur, the song is one of celebration.

The trailer of the film situates the film at the time of undivided India, at the moment before the Partition of India. Amberdeep Singh and Neeru Bajwa find themselves transported into this historical past and the situation becomes complicated when Ammy Virk enters the picture.

In the trailer, Singh and Bajwa try to hide their identity from Virk and the song ‘Taadiyan’ seems to take place at this moment. Although a song of celebration, Bajwa is dressed in a sharara (traditional attire of Muslim women) as Singh looks on uncomfortably. It is evident that Bajwa and Singh are hiding something, while Virk is having a good time and dancing. With traditional strains, the song has a rustic appeal.

Laung Laachi 2, directed by Amberdeep Singh, is due to be released this Friday, on 19 August. Check out the song below and let us know if you are keen to see the film.
