Films Division announces online film festival Azadi Ke Rang

The festival marks 75 years of the nation’s independence.

Films Division has announced a three-day online film Festival, Azadi Ke Rang, to mark the 75th year of India’s Independence. The festival will be held from 13-15 August on the Films Division website and YouTube channel.

The festival includes a package of eleven films, which present major milestones of our freedom struggle and freedom fighters. The titles include India Wins Freedom (1985), Flag And Freedom (1987), The Beginning 1857 (1984), Dawn of Gandhian (1984), Poorna Swaraj (1984), The Great Salt March (1985), Kalapani - A Pilgrimage (2021), Netaji (1973), Chandrashekhar Azad (1983), Lal Bal Pal (2000), The Unknown Freedom Fighters (1978).

Films Division will be celebrating the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign with various initiatives. A two-minute long film, Har Ghar Tiranga, was released, which will be screened in all theatres across India for a fortnight from 5-18 August.

Apart from this, audio-visual content pertaining to the theme is being screened on the LED screen located at the Films Division Complex facing Peddar Road in Mumbai. A selfie point #HarGharTiranga has been also placed targeting the visitors to National Museum of Indian Cinema at Films Division.
