IDSFFK 2022: Films Division documentaries Mizo Soundscapes, Ripples Under the Skin selected for competition section

The International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala will be held in Thiruvananthapuram from 26-31 August.

Films Division shared the news that two of their documentaries, Mizo Soundscapes by Joshy Joseph and Ripples Under the Skin by Farha Khatun, were selected in the Competition Section (short documentary) of International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK) later this month.

The 14th edition will be held at Thiruvananthapuram from 26-31 August.

Other films in the competition section include Joshua Quadros's Armature, Parthajit Baruah's Brush Stroke, Ardehl Nainan's Fantasy Parks, Nishanth Gurumurthy's Gopi, Sohil Vaidya's Murmurs Of The Jungle, Bijoy Chowdhury's My Son And His Grandfather, Debankon Singh Solanky's New Classroom, The Third Eye's Digital Educators's Night Time In Small Town India, Rishi Chandna's Party Poster, JJ Abraham's Salt And Sugar, Muntaha Amin's Siege In The Air, Priya Naresh's Small-Time Cinema, James Khangenbam’s The Fireline, Shirley Abraham and Amit Madheshiya's The Great Abandonment, Miriam Chandy Menacherry's The Leopard's Tribe and  Neelansh Mittra's Why Wander Outside?.

IFFK had recently announced that after two years of a delayed festival due to the pandemic, IFFK will be held in December, according to its original schedule.

IDSFFK is organised by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy for the department of cultural affairs, government of Kerala.
