Was born to play this character, says Vish on playing the antagonist in Liger

Along with Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishnan and Mike Tyson, Liger (2022) also stars Vishu Reddy aka Vish in an important role. He is a strong and hot-headed mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter name Baddie who would be competing with the character played by Deverakonda. 

The makers have said that Vish is a martial artist off screen too and has worked very hard for his character in the film. 

Speaking about his happiness at bagging the role, Vish said in a statement, “From last seven years, I have been continuously training myself for different types of martial arts, so this is actually a dream character to portray on the big screen. Being a martial artiste myself and getting to play an MMA fighter in the film Liger is nothing but just perfect! I think I was born for this character.” 

Written and directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger is produced under his banner Puri Connects and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. This is the first time that Deverakonda is acting in a Hindi film. 

Liger is due to be released in theatres on 25 August in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
