Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach trailer – New season looks a sensationalized case of juvenile fratricide

After tackling two successful cases in Criminal Justice (2019) and Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors (2020), Pankaj Tripathi’s Madhav Mishra returns to defend a young boy Mukul accused in a sensationalized case of fratricide.

The trailer for the Disney+ Hotstar series, Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach (2022), directed by Rohan Sippy, shows the mother of the boy, played by Swastika Mukherjee, appealing to Mishra to take on the case. Mukul has allegedly killed his sister Zara, a young child star, and the media goes into overdrive.

The police and prosecution both believe it’s an open and shut case. Meanwhile, Mishra is of the opinion that nothing is as simple and straightforward as it seems. The advocate struggles to unearth the truth and get to the heart of the matter. But will that truth be palatable to all those involved?

The series also stars Addinath Kothare, Kalyanee Mulay, Rajesh Khera, Purab Kohli, and Gaurav Gera.

Produced by Applause Entertainment, in association with BBC Studios India, Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach is due to be premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on 26 August.
