Ek Villain Returns review: Bizarre plot, lacklustre performances weigh down this sequel
As per trade sources, Ek Villain Returns was made on a budget of Rs50-60 crore. The film has so far earned Rs22 crore. It can’t afford to have a big fall on Monday as so many Hindi films this year have.
Ek Villain Returns has also surprisingly done well in the overseas market. As per BoxOfficeIndia.com, the movie clocked $3,25,000 outside India on its opening day. In fact, in the United Kingdom, it made 3,000 pounds more than the recent hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022) by earning 40,000 pounds.
Meanwhile, the Hindi version of Kiccha Sudeep’s Kannada movie Vikrant Rona had an average opening weekend, collecting Rs5.96 crore nett, according to veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
