Laung Laachi 2 teaser: A romantic drama with a twist

The teaser of the upcoming Punjabi feature Laung Laachi 2 has been released. Starring Ammy Virk, Amberdeep Singh and Neeru Bajwa, the romantic drama is the sequel to Laung Laachi and features the same cast.

Written by Amit Sumit, Khushbir Makna, Amandeep Kaur and Amberdeep Singh, the film has been directed by Singh as well. The film is being produced by Bhagwant Virk and Ammy Virk. 

Singh shared the teaser on Instagram, writing, “Laung Laachi 2… teaser out on YouTube … film releasing 19th august … thanx every team member for their love support and hard work for making it beautiful (sic)."

Laung Laachi (2018) is about a love triangle and the sequel suggests the same. Set in a fantasy setting where Neeru Bajwa is like a princess, dancing and twirling around when Amberdeep Singh comes along with a horse, much like a prince. However, along comes Ammy Virk and Bajwa walks off with him.

We are told that romance creates a world of its own where nothing exists except the beloved and her lover. It then mentions infidelity, gesturing towards the theme of the film. The teaser also tells us that It seems like Bajwa is once again caught between two prospective partners. 

The overall look of the film is not contemporary. The location seems to be that of a fort or an old mansion but it remains to be seen if the film is set in the past or if this is a fantastical scenario.

Laung Laachi 2 will be released on 19 August.
