Box office: RRR holds steady on third Friday; KGF 2 sets the pace in advance booking

The Hollywood movie Fantastic Beasts 3, which was released in India yesterday, has hardly found any audience.

The Hindi version of Ram Charan and Jr NTR's Roudram Ranam Rudhiram aka RRR (2022) has been doing steady business even on its third Friday in theatres. The SS Rajamouli movie earned Rs5 crore nett on the day, according to trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com. This is the same as its collection the previous day.

The film is now expected to garner impressive numbers on its third Saturday and Sunday, too. The film made Rs131.96 crore and Rs74.50 crore in its first and second week, respectively.

The grand total of RRR in Hindi currently stands at Rs211.46 crore. The Hindi version still has some distance to go to overtake The Kashmir Files (2022), whose collection has reached Rs245 crore nett.

But if the advance booking for KGF: Chapter 2 (2022) is any indication, the Yash-starrer, which is set to be released on 14 April, could outpace all the other films released so far this year.

According to BoxOfficeIndia.com, the Hindi version of the South film has registered the best advance-booking interest since the pandemic.

The Shahid Kapoor-starrer Jersey (2022) is also slated to be released on 14 April.

Meanwhile, the Hollywood movie Fantastic Beasts 3 was released in India yesterday but hardly managed to find an audience.
