Amazon Studios has acquired the action-adventure film Ending Things, which stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Anthony Mackie.

The project — which was announced earlier this year —has been written by Kevin Sullivan, who will also direct the feature.

In the thrilling drama, Chopra Jonas plays a hit-woman who informs her partner (Mackie) that she wants to end their personal relationship. Eventually, she regrets her decision and the pair have to come together for one last job where they reevaluate things.

The news was first reported by the Hollywood trade website Deadline.com. According to their report, the production deals are still being worked upon. The feature will be produced by Davis Entertainment’s Jeremy Stein and Lit Entertainment along with Mackie’s Make It With Gravy Productions and Inspire Entertainment’s Jason Spire. Chopra Jonas will also serve as executive producer through her production house, Purple Pebble Pictures.

Mackie — who is due to take on the mantle of Captain America in the upcoming fourth movie of the franchise — is making his directorial debut with the drama Spark, which features actress Saniyya Sidney as civil rights activist Claudette Colvin.

Chopra Jonas is awaiting the release of the romantic comedy Text For You with Sam Heughan and the Amazon Prime Video series Citadel with Richard Madden. She has signed on for Farhan Akhtar’s road movie Jee Le Zaraa, with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt; the Hindi film is expected to go on the floors this year.
