Director Prasad Oak’s Chandramukhi is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by author Vishwas Patil.

The film sees Amruta Khanvilkar essay the lead role. But the first teaser of the movie doesn’t feature or even mention her. Surprisingly, it revolves solely around the character Battasha, a tamasha artiste played by veteran actor Samir Choughule.

This is also not exactly a teaser. It is just a scene featuring Choughule and Addinath Kothare’s characters. The latter plays a politician. Going by their conversation, it looks like Battasha is applying for a job or seeking a favour.

Choughule seems to have nailed the loquacious character, especially his accent. Kothare's politician, on the other hand, is a calm and calculative individual.

Chandramukhi sees Khanvilkar play a tamasha artiste who falls in love with the leader. The film is a love story and political drama.

This is Oak’s third directorial venture after Kaccha Limbu (2017) and Hirkani (2019)

Produced by Planet Marathi and Golden Ratio Films and distributed by Sunshine Studios, Chandramukhi will be released in theatres on 29 April.

Check out the teaser and let us know if you are keen on watching the film.
