Vineet Kumar Singh, Akshay Oberoi and Urvashi Rautela star in the upcoming crime drama Dil Hai Gray.

The film has been directed by Susi Ganesan and produced by M Ramesh Reddy under his banner Suraj Productions.

The story deals with the issue of cybercrime. Singh will play a police officer investigating Oberoi’s character for targeting innocent women on social media.

A statement from the makers read, “Through its plot, the film’s narrative touches upon the fact that not everything is black and white, and how when the time comes, even the best of people might have a change of heart.”

Susi Ganesan feels the film is relevant in today’s era. “The relevance of the movie and [the] entire backdrop that it is based on makes the movie crucial in the present age,” he said.

“At a time where there’s so much happening online, the movie will most definitely be a tool to not narrate the story but also spread awareness about cybercrime, which is a major threat to humanity and reflects a flaw in our system as a society. We are glad to have associated with M Ramesh Reddy and everyone else on board.”

Reddy said, "The association has been wonderful and much like all other work I associate with, the story is the true hero of Dil Hai Gray too. Films that have a strong and impactful subject line are the ones that best resonate with me, and thanks to Susi and team, this is one such movie.”

With Dil Hai Gray, Susi Ganesan will be returning to Hindi cinema after almost a decade. He made his directorial debut in Hindi with Shortcut Romeo (2013), which starred Neil Nitin Mukesh, Ameesha Patel and Puja Gupta. The film was the official Hindi remake of his own Tamil movie Thiruttu Payale (2006)

Dil Hai Gray is slated to be released in theatres in July.
