Samantha likely to be part of Pushpa 2, makers keen to rope her in for another special number

The shooting of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rule, the second part of the Pushpa franchise, is expected to begin soon. The makers are currently busy with pre-production and the project is likely to begin in a month.

According to the grapevine, actress Samantha could be part of the second film as well. Following the response to her special appearance in the 'Oo Antava'' song in Pushpa: The Rise (2021), the makers are hopeful of bringing Samantha back for Pushpa: The Rule (2022).

A source from the film’s unit was quoted in a report on the entertainment website Pinkvilla as saying, “Everyone loved Samantha in the song, and the makers are keen to cast her in Pushpa 2 as well for another special number. However, they will approach her once they have finalized the track. The music is still being composed.”

Pushpa: The Rule will see Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil face off in a big way. Directed by Sukumar, the film stars Arjun as a lorry driver who smuggles red sandalwood.

Pushpa: The Rise did extremely well at the box office, grossing over Rs300 crore worldwide with big collections in every language it was released in.

Originally shot in Telugu, Pushpa: The Rise was dubbed and released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
