Director duo Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy have completed shooting their maiden Hindi film Shastry Virudh Shastry, the remake of their Bengali film Posto (2017).
Produced by Viacom18 and Windows Production, the film stars Paresh Rawal, Neena Kulkarni, Amruta Subhash, Shiv Pandit and Manoj Joshi.
Actress Mimi Chakraborty, who is playing a version of her character from the original film, will make her Hindi debut with the film.
Windows Production shared the news and a photo of the team on Twitter on Saturday.

Based on the story of a battle for the custody of a child, which involves his parents and grandparents, Posto also starred the late Soumitra Chatterjee as well as Lily Chakravorty, Paran Bandopadhyay and Jisshu Sengupta.
In Shastry Virudh Shastry, Pandit will play the character essayed by Sengupta. The role was initially supposed to be played by Amit Sadh.
According to a report in the Bengali edition of the Hindustan Times newspaper, the film has been shot entirely in Mumbai.
The director duo’s next film Belashuru is slated to be released in theatres on 20 May.
