Saiyami Kher has completed shoot for the web-series Faadu, directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwary. The team finished an extensive 75-day schedule in Serbia, the Konkan region, and Mumbai, and called it a wrap last week. Filming for the show began last November.

The actress stars with Pavail Gulati and Abhilash Thapliyal in the intense poetic love story.

Speaking about the series, Kher said she was emotional on finishing the shoot. “Ashwiny ma’am was always a director on my wish list," she said. "From Nil Battey Sannata (2016) to Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017) and Panga (2020), the women that Ashwiny ma'am has created have always been a source of inspiration. I couldn't be happier to join such an esteemed list."

“My character in Faadu is strong, rooted, poetic, and a dream for any actor,” she continued. "My talented co-actors Pavail and Abhilash are both so passionate and committed to the world we created that working with them was a pleasure. I have made some Faadu friends for life and can’t wait to share this world with everyone.”

Faadu, produced by Studio Next, is due to be premiered on SonyLIV. The series has been written by poet, theatre writer and director Saumya Joshi with a score by composer Santhosh Narayanan.

Kher also has Tahira Kashyap’s directorial debut Sharmaji Ki Beti, the Telugu film Highway with Anand Deverakonda, and R Balki’s Ghoomer lined up this year. The actress will also reprise her role in the second season of Breathe: Into The Shadows.
