Entrepreneur-turned-actress Preeti Mallapurkar to star in Shivaji Lotan Patil's Marathi film Aatur

Entrepreneur-turned-actress Preeti Mallapurkar is set to star in National award-winning filmmaker Shivaji Lotan Patil's upcoming Marathi film Aatur.

The actress will be seen as an educated middle-class homemaker. Speaking about her character, she said, "I am playing the role of a middle-class wife, who is looking forward to having a baby. The character is well-etched, and I had a great time pulling it off."

She is also very thrilled to be working with the filmmaker. "It was a great opportunity to be directed by him. He doesn't believe in acting workshops; his direction is enough for us actors to get into the skin of the character. His entire team was very cooperative with me."

Aatur is being backed by Zenith Films. The film went on the floors in February.

Meanwhile, Mallapurkar is also awaiting the release of her debut film Ishwari.
