Box office: Hindi version of RRR holds strong, Attack: Part 1 crashes further

The SS Rajamouli film is set to enter the Rs200 crore club in this language soon.

The box office collections of the Hindi version of SS Rajamouli’s Roudram Ranam Rudhiram aka RRR entered single figures for the first time on its second Monday, earning Rs6.75 crore nett, according to the trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com.

However, this is still a good performance on the part of the Ram Charan and Jr NTR-starrer. The epic has earned Rs58 crore in its second week in this language after collecting Rs131.96 crore in the previous week.

The grand total of the Hindi version of RRR is Rs189.96 crore and the film is all set to score a double century this week.

Set in pre-Independence India, RRR is a fictitious tale about real freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR). The story revolves around Bheem’s struggle to rescue a tribal girl from the clutches of the British and get timely help from Raju.

Meanwhile, after seeing a poor opening weekend, the John Abraham-starrer Attack: Part 1 crashed further on its first Monday as it could manage to only earn Rs1.15 crore. The Lakshya Raj Anand directorial venture, which was made on a budget of Rs55 crore, has made only Rs11.15 crore.
