Prasad Oak's third directorial venture, Chahdramukhi, is set to be released later this month. The filmmaker has announced an ambitious film about the legendary Marathi and Hindi film actor Nilu Phule.
He made the announcement today on the late actor’s 92nd birth anniversary.
Oak shared a picture of himself as a younger man assisting on a Phule film and wrote, “The time I spent with you remain my most cherished memory. I got to observe and experience you from close quarters. I got to learn a lot from you. I made you my guru without telling you.”
He added, “It is because of your blessings that I have got a chance to make a biopic on you. This won’t be just a movie; it will be my guru dakshina [fee] to you. Let your support be with me always.”
Oak hasn’t revealed who will be playing Phule.
This will be Oak’s fifth film as a director after Kaccha Limbu (2017), Hirkani (2019), Chandramukhi and the upcoming historical Bhadrakali.
