Prakash Kunte's romantic drama Eka Hathacha Antar goes on the floor

Prakash Kunte's romantic drama Eka Hathacha Antar, starring Siddharth Chandekar, Gauri Nalawade and Abhijeet Khandkekar, went on the floor today.

The film, written by Mitali Joshi, is set against the backdrop of  the charming town of Pondicherry.

The film, which navigates the trials and complexities of marriage, intimacy and infidelity, is being produced by Planet Marathi and High IQ Entertainment.

Kunte, who has previously helmed critically acclaimed films like Coffee Ani Barach Kahi (2015), Hampi (2017) and Cycle (2018), said, "I feel grateful to be on board for this one since we are filming it in Pondicherry with a story which will entertain the audience. The team is rock solid and we hope we can create magic.”

Eka Hathacha Antar, which also features Resham Shrivardhankar, Hemant Dhome and Neha Joshi in pivotal roles, will skip a theatrical release and be streamed directly on Planet Marathi OTT.

This will be the second Marathi film in recent times to be shot in the Union territory in South India, after the Sai Tamhankar- and Vaibhav Tatwawadi-starrer Pondicherry (2022), which was released in February this year.
