Rashmika Mandanna joins the cast of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal

Rashmika Madanna continues to make waves in Hindi cinema. After announcing her Hindi debut in December 2020 with Mission Majnu (2022), the actress has signed the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Goodbye (2022) and now joins the cast of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal (2023), starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol.

The filmmaker himself announced the big casting change on the occasion of Ugadi on Saturday 2 April. Mandanna replaces Parineeti Chopra, who had earlier been announced in the role of Geetanjali.

The producers, T-Series, also shared Mandanna’s cast announcement and added that shooting for the film will begin this summer. The film is slated to be released on 11 August 2023.

Animal features Anil and Ranbir as a father-son duo. It is unclear what roles Deol and Mandanna will play in the feature.

The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar’s T-Series, Pranay Reddy Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios.

Besides her Hindi releases, Mandanna will be seen as Srivalli in Pushpa 2: The Rule (2022), follow-up to the blockbuster Telugu film Pushpa: The Rise (2021).
