Actor Ram Charan on Sunday paid a surprise visit to Mumbai’s Gaiety theatre where he was mobbed by hordes of fans.
In pictures that have gone viral on social media, the actor, accompanied by his entourage, can be seen making his way to the iconic cinema hall amid a sea of people.
Ram Charan wanted to witness the response to his latest release RRR, in which his performance has been hailed by audiences and critics alike.
In the pictures, Ram Charan can be seen wearing an all-black kurta, pyjama and gamcha. He will don these garments for the next few weeks until he visits the Sabarimala temple in Kerala.

RRR marks Ram Charan's second collaboration with SS Rajamouli after Magadheera (2009). The film is a fictional story set in the 1920s and is based on the lives of two well-known revolutionaries – Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR respectively.
RRR is Rajamouli’s first full-length period film. Made on a budget of over Rs300 crore, RRR has already breached into the Rs700 crore club worldwide and running to packed houses everywhere.
The film also features Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.
