In Shieladitya Moulik’s film Hridpindo (2022), fate conspires to reunite two childhood lovers in unusual circumstances.
In the trailer for the film, as biology teacher Arya (Arpita Chatterjee) explains to her students the anatomy of the heart, the visuals show her sharing moments of bliss with childhood love Rick (Prantik Banerjee). Then Arya, who is married to Somak (Saheb Chatterjee), meets with an accident and goes into an unstable psychological condition.
It seems only Rick can help her return to normalcy by reviving memories from their childhood. While Somak accepts Rick and Arya’s rekindled bonding for her sake, he becomes insecure when their meetings cross the bounds of friendship.
The trailer also suggests that Arya had dumped Rick to marry Somak. But helplessly in love, Rick returns to save her from losing her sanity. A tussle begins between Somak and Rick. The latter cautions Somak that if he separates them, he may never get his wife back in her normal state.
The trailer hints that the three characters go through a whirlwind of emotions as their journeys become complicated. Whether the story ends on a tragic note, only the film will tell.
Hridpindo is slated for a theatrical release on 13 May. Check out the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
