Vivek Oberoi joins Rohit Shetty’s Amazon Prime Video series Indian Police Force

Vivek Oberoi is the latest star to join Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Indian Police Force. The Amazon Prime Video web-series stars Sidharth Malhotra and Shilpa Shetty.

Sharing his excitement about joining the project, Oberoi said on Instagram, “Charged to join the best force: Indian Police Force and be a supercop in the Rohit Shetty Cop Universe! Thank you, bro Rohit Shetty for trusting me with this amazing role! Loving the kickass action with my other two super cops, the awesome Sidharth Malhotra and one and only Shilpa Shetty (sic).” 

He also shared a picture of himself in the avatar of a modern cop with an automatic rifle in hand. The character dons dark glasses but they can't conceal his steely determination. 

Indian Police Force is Rohit Shetty's maiden web-series. This is his latest cop drama after the movies Singham (2011), Singham Returns (2014), Simmba (2018) and Sooryavanshi (2021). This is also Malhotra and Shilpa Shetty's first web-series. 

When the show was announced last week, Rohit Shetty said in a statement, “Indian Police Force is a very special one for me and I have been working on it for years. I am delighted to be collaborating with Amazon Prime Video to breathe life into this story which will transcend geographies and linguistic barriers, providing me with an opportunity to showcase the same to audiences worldwide.” 

Indian Police Force is currently in production.
