Ayushmann Khurrana comedy-thriller An Action Hero to be released in theatres on 2 December

Ayushmann Khurrana's comedy-thriller An Action Hero is set to hit the screens on 2 December 2022. The actor took to Instagram to announce the release date.

Helmed by the first-time director Anirudh Iyer, this genre-defying offbeat film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat as the antagonist. An Action Hero was announced in October 2021 and went on the floors in January 2022. The first leg of the shoot concluded in London last month. 

The film will see Khurrana as an action hero forced to face cinematic situations outside of his reel life. It is the first action-orientated film for Khurrana. 

An Action Hero is being produced by Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.

Speaking about the release date announcement, T-Series head Bhushan Kumar said in a statement to the news agency Press Trust Of India, "We have achieved quite a lot in such a short span of time and we are waiting to watch the final product on screen just as much as everyone else! See you in cinemas on 2 December."

Khurrana will be seen next in Anubhav Sinha's Anek and Anubhuti Kashyap's Doctor G later this year.
