Saunkan Saunkne trailer: Family squabbles make for entertaining comedy

Sargun Mehta and Nimrat Khaira take centre stage as sisters who are also rivals for their husband's affection.

The Punjabi-language feature Saunkan Saunkne, starring Ammy Virk, Sargun Mehta and Nimrat Khaira, is set to be released in theatres on 13 May. The trailer of the film has created a lot of anticipation for the comedy.

Directed by Amarjit Singh Saron and written by Amberdeep Singh, Saunkan Saunkne is about the predicament of a man with two wives, which leads to all kinds of situations.

Virk and Mehta's characters have been married for six years but are unable to have a child. Desperate, the wife proposes that the husband gets married again and who better than her own sister, played by Khaira! Although the husband is reluctant, he does get married and brings home a second wife.

While things seem okay in the beginning, the situation starts to slowly get complicated and all hell breaks loose eventually. Although Mehta and Khaira are sisters, they also become rivals for their husbands' affection. Virk is advised to take charge of the situation and control his two wives but finds that the women will brook no nonsense from him.

The dialogues in the trailer are funny and much of the humour comes from the quarrels within the family. With its impeccable casting, the Saunkan Saunkne seems to be a fun entertainer.
